Fencing and Netting

Fencing and Netting

R.A.D. Sports has a dedicated Fence Division that specializes in the installation of fencing and netting in a variety of applications and industries. Though a majority of our clients are in the educational or municipal park sectors, we also have experience with airports, municipal authorities, and military bases. Whether your needs are safety or security based, it’s vital to have appropriate fencing and netting enclosing your facility to properly protect your investment. Let us help you determine what you need with a free assessment.

Athletic and Decorative Fencing

Fences are an essential part of every athletic facility as they protect the players, the spectators, and the facility itself. The players are protected by preventing spectators from freely entering the field of play. The spectators are protected from objects potentially leaving the field of play with great speed. And after the game is over, it helps protect the facility from vandalism and unsupervised use that could potentially damage the field.

A few examples of the most common uses for fencing in athletic facilities include:

  • Temporary construction fencing during construction or renovations
  • Backstops, bull pens, and batting tunnels for baseball and softball
  • Gates to provide easy access for larger equipment and snow removal
  • High strength and small mesh fencing for lacrosse balls
  • Ornamental fencing to redirect foot traffic around bleachers
  • Enclosures for dumpsters

Safety Netting

The main role of netting is to ensure the safety of spectators and anyone else not actively in the field of play. A secondary benefit is preventing damage to buildings and other property adjacent to fields.

We regularly use safety netting in the following capacities:

  • Post tension backstop netting systems for baseball and softball
  • Post tension netting systems for throwing cages
  • Safety netting on field edges to prevent footballs, soccer balls, baseballs, and softballs from exiting the facility

Airports, Municipal Authorities,
and Military Bases

Athletic facilities are not the only place you’ll see us installing fences. We have many years of experience working with airports, municipal authorities, and military bases. The primary focus of fencing in these industries is to keep civilians safe, creating a secure perimeter around the facility or asset and preventing unapproved access.

Typical fencing at these types of facilities includes perimeter site security fencing with barbed wire, vehicle access gates, and personnel access gates. By having a properly secured site we help keep runways clear for airplanes, protect assets owned by municipal authorities, and fortify military base security.
